MESA is an innovative new nitrogen source combining the benefits of Meth-Ex methylene urea and ammonium sulfate in a single granule. The result is brilliant color, quick response, and extended feeding without flush growth or excessive clippings. The rate of Meth-Ex nitrogren release is controlled by soil microbes, which are in turn regulated by soil moisture and temperature. The benefit is predictable extended feeding. Meth-Ex also delays the release of the ammonium sulfate. Ammonium sulfate provides nitrogen that can be immediately used by the plant for fast response, as well as soluable sulfer, an important secondary nutrient that helps build chlorophyll and deep green color. Plant available sulfur is an important but often overlooked nutrient. The zero phosphorus analysis is appropriate where phosphorus is not a limiting factor. It is ideal for areas where excess phosphorus needs to be avoided such as sensitive watersheds and drainage areas.
