The Lawson Tree Anchoring System uses high strength rubber straps in place of commonly used steel cables. Unlike cables, these rubber straps permit limited tree movement during high winds and promote supportive stemwood, creating stronger trees. With only rubber touching the tree, girdling is all but eliminated. Installing the system takes less than five minutes and only requires a small hammer. Three sizes are available designed for up to 2", 3", and 4" diameter trees. The system includes three pregalvanized steel hooks and stakes and three high strength rubber straps. Stakes for 2" and 3" sizes are 16" and the 4" size includes 24" stakes. Solid-core anchoring straps are treated to protect against sun or chemical damage and are easily unhooked from stakes for mowing around trees or for reuse with newly planted trees every season.
