The Silver Fox™ model SFP5100 Forward Plate is a high productivity dirt plate for backfill, foundations, landfills, slab and floor repair, sidewalk foundations, utility trenches, and for foundations for paving stones. This is an ideal hard-hitting plate for dirt contractors who require high productivity and maximum compaction without the investment of a reversible plate.
The plate, with a base measuring 20” x 24” and an eccentric force of 5100 lbs., travels at a forward travel speed of 130 feet/minute and is capable of compacting up to 13,000 sq. ft. per hour. A 15° ramped leading edge climbs onto uncompacted surfaces producing more even, progressive compaction.
Other standard features that increase performance include: forward mounted eccentric producing fast forward travel speeds, patented one-piece base plate and eccentric housing which acts as a heat dissipater that uniformly heats the bottom of the plate for more efficient asphalt compaction, a heavy-duty Kevlar belt producing better energy transfer between the engine and eccentric and a roll cage to protect the engine and components.
Patented one-piece base plate design includes an extra large oil reservoir that dissipates the internal heat to the entire plate surface. Cools the oil inside and preheats the base plate for more efficient performance on asphalt
